APIDTとGoogle、太平洋地域の研究・教育ネットワーク強化に向け協定を締結
2025年11月、村井純がディレクターを務めるAsia Pacific Internet Development Trust（APIDT）とGoogle Cloudは、太平洋地域の研究・教育ネットワーク（R&Eネットワーク）の拡充に向けた協定を締結しました。本協定により、Arterial Research and Education Network in Asia Pacific（ARENA-PAC）を通じ、太平洋地域の大学・研究機関に対して、高速かつ信頼性の高いネットワーク環境を提供する体制が強化されます。
APIDTと連携するARENA-PAC と SOI Asia の事務局は、ともに慶應義塾大学サイバー文明研究センター（CCRC）内に設置されています。本取り組みは、デジタルインフラから社会制度までを連続的に捉えるCCRCの理念とも深く共鳴するものであり、研究・教育ネットワークの発展に引き続き貢献してまいります。
APIDT and Google Sign Agreement to Strengthen Research and Education Networks in the Pacific Region
In November 2025, the Asia Pacific Internet Development Trust (APIDT), directed by Jun Murai, and Google Cloud signed an agreement to enhance research and education (R&E) networks across the Pacific region. Through the Arterial Research and Education Network in Asia Pacific (ARENA-PAC), the partnership will strengthen the infrastructure that provides high-speed, reliable connectivity to universities and research institutions throughout the Pacific.

The secretariats of ARENA-PAC and SOI Asia, both of which collaborate closely with APIDT, are based at the Cyber Civilization Research Center (CCRC) of Keio University. This initiative aligns with CCRC’s mission and will continue to enhance research and education networks in the region.
