APIE Advanced Camp held at CCRC Project Room (Haneda Campus)
May 30, 2025
From May 19 to 23, 2025, Asia Pacific Resilient Society (APRS) Project within CCRC hosted the APIE Advanced Camp: Service Deployment at the CCRC Project Room of the Keio University KGRI Cyber Civilization Research Center, located in Haneda Innovation City, Ota City, Tokyo. APIE Advanced Camp is a part of APIE program, the human resource development initiative operated under APRS.
The camp brought together over 24 participants from 12 universities, selected from among those who had completed a previous APIE Camp. Through pre-camp learning on service design using FutureLearn, as well as hands-on sessions covering practical topics such as databases and containers, participants engaged in group work focused on web service design. On the final day, activities such as company visits and “Meet the Internet Engineers” provided opportunities for the participants to connect with over 30 senior engineers. The students will continue their group work through to the final presentation scheduled for July, where they will propose their own web application services.
The APIE program aims to nurture the next generation of Internet professionals, one of the educational programs offered by SOI Asia whose headquarters is in APRS, CCRC. SOI Asia offers APIE by collaborating with partner organizations such as APNIC Foundation, WIDE Project, and AITAC to promote a deeper understanding and expansion of Internet infrastructure technologies.
